Biography
Eliza (or Elizabeth) was born to John Prosser (Agricultural Labourer) and his wife Margaret Lewis in Preston on Wye, Herefordshire in 1836.
At 14 she was a house servant to a farmer, Richard Watkins, of 156 acres at Bellamore Farm.
She married John Evans, a miller, on 23rd Mary 1858.  They moved to Longtown near the Welsh border, then back towards Hereford. They had 7 children 5 boys and 2 girls. John Evans died in December 1879. Eliza carried on the milling trade with her son in Eaton Bishop. The mill was probably a water mill on the Cage Brook.
In March 1887 she married John Brace, a blacksmith. In 1891 they were living on High St Weobley with two apprentices. All Eliza's children had left home. They remained there until they died, Eliza in April 1912 and John Brace in 1920.
Eliza gave Ella Leather and her niece Nona Swire one song in 1905
